Marilyn P. Hay (FRAS)
Marilyn P. Hay is a highly skilled artist and teacher. Her training includes studies at the National Art School, Paddington Art School, Royal Art Society Art School and many studies/tours throughout New South Wales, interstate and overseas. Her medium includes watercolour, acrylic, silk, charcoal and collage.
Marilyn has won the respect of fellow artists and collectors for her innovative silk works which include many decorated with heirloom beads. Her silk works also include etchings printed on silk enhanced with her characteristic beadwork. Her collages often inspired by her travels have brought recognition from institiutional and private collectors and in 1998 she was the recipient of the Medal of Distinction from the Royal Art Society.
Marilyn's wearable art has also delighted many women with her decorated Isadoras and squares.
Marilyn's most recent achievement is being made a Fellow of the Royal Art Society of New South Wales.
Marilyn has had three solo exhibitions at the gallery which have brought her significant acclaim.
