Lesley Ann Rowe

Lesley Ann Rowe has been exhibiting her paintings since the early 1990s. Inspiration for her paintings come from her love of Venice, Music, Horses and more recently the North West area of Tasmania.

Lesley resided in the Hunter Valley until April 2003 when she and her husband moved to Mengha in North West Tasmania.

Lesley works in most media, oil, acrylic, watercolour and pastels. Her musical miniatures have been widely acclaimed and sort after by collectors. She has won the prestigious Queensland International Miniature Art Award and has also received recognition at the Sydney Royal Easter Show for her musical and stockrider paintings.

In 1999 Lesley was featured in Australian Artist Magazine January edition in which she described the technique of painting a musical miniature over a six week period.

In the last few years Lesley has painted many of the most scenic areas of North West Tasmania to the delight of visitors to the North West of Tasmania from all over the world. Her paintings continue to be admired in the gallery both her traditional subjects such as Venice, Horses and Musical themes together with her North West Tasmania landscapes and coastal subjects.
